Biologic drugs can be inherently prone to degradation and instability, making designing safe, stable, and effective formulations a challenge. To overcome these issues, developers perform screening and stability studies to identify suitable formulations; however, the number of formulations that can be screened for each project is often constrained by short timelines and a limited supply of material. The CM3 Biologics Formulation System is an end-to-end workflow for supporting high throughput buffer creation, buffer exchange, stressing, and analysis allowing for the rapid development of both protein formulations and vaccine formulations.

  • Versatile liquid handling for formulating and analytical sample prep
Easily transfer aqueous and viscous liquids between both vials and 96-well plates
  • Automated processing and stressing
Heat, cool, stir, and shake formulations
  • Low-bioburden environment
    Create a low-bioburden environment using a HEPA-filtered enclosure
  • Non-destructive visual inspection
Automate the often labor intensive task of visible particle detection (>80 μm), turbidity, and color measurements. Archive all data, including images, for later viewing
  • High throughput pH and viscosity measurements
Completely automate pH measurements in vials or 96-well plates and measure viscosity measurements with as little as100 μL of material
  • Integrated informatics
Use Freeslate LEA (Lab Execution and Analysis) software to create experiment designs and aggregate composition, process, and analytical data in a central database for easy viewing and reporting
